Southern Solid Waste, LLC has compiled the following information from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to assist you with your waste disposal needs. The sites into which we refer to as C & D sites, which are Type III Landfill Permits and can only, accept construction debris.

  • herbicides & pesticides
  • radioactive material
  •  solvents
  • paint (except completely dried latex paint cans, no liquids)

If non-acceptable items are found in customer’s load, the customer is responsible for the removal of the item. A charge for non-regulated material will apply to that not in compliance with C & D regulations, if not removed.

Containers with dirt, sand, concrete, rocks, and bricks may not be filled more than 1/3 full due to LA DOTD weight regulations on Louisiana highways (Only 12-15 cubic yards per load).

SSW asks all customers to not overfill the bins past the top on the containers because the tarp systems are not able to contain the trash. Help SSW keep beautiful Louisiana clean!

Thank you for the complying with the above regulations. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at (337) 433-5158.
